Flying Lotus dice que un gif de Thom Yorke lo inspiró a hacer películas
El productor experimental multi géneros, músico electrónico, DJ, rapero y ahora director Flying Lotus estrenará su primera película en el Sundance NEXT FEST de este año bajo el seudónimo de “steve” con un cortometraje titulado Royal.
El artista, en una serie de mensajes publicados en su cuenta oficial de Twitter, habló un poco más sobre cómo comenzó a interesarse en el medio audiovisual, y de cómo su sello disquero Brainfeeder ahora tendrá una división dedicada el cine. El artista admitió que se sintió inspirado luego de descubrir un gif “increíble” de él y Thom Yorke que consigió en Internet el año pasado, y que incluía una conversación ficticia entre ambos.
“Tuve una fijación con ese gif por un día entero y me puse a pensar. Mierda. Puedo hacer algo como eso.”
