El drama épico de fantasía épica de HBO Game of Thrones encabeza una vez más la lista de candidatos para los premios Emmy de este año con 23 nominaciones para su sexta temporada. Game of Thrones está nominada una vez más como mejor serie dramática, luego de ganar el galardón por vez primera el año pasado junto a 11 otros trofeos.

Sus competidores de este año por el premio dramático son The Americans de FX, Better Call Saul de AMC, Downton Abbey de PBS, Homeland de Showtime, House of Cards de Netflix y Mr. Robot de USA Network.

Mientras tanto, en la categoría de comedia, los contendores son Blackish y Modern Family de ABC, Master of None y Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt de Netflix, Silicon Valley y Veep de HBO, y Transparent de Amazon.

La ceremonia de entrega de los Emmy se realizará el próximo 18 de Septiembre.
